How to Import Browser Settings in Firefox 3
Firefox has been steadily been making inroads into Internet Explorer market share. Firefox 3 even created the Guinness World Record for most number of downloads in a day. So if you still haven’t shifted from Internet Explorer or Opera thinking of losing your settings and bookmarks, just follow this tutorial and migrate smoothly from IE/Opera to FF3.
Step 1 : Open Firefox 3 Import Wizard
I am assuming you already have Firefox 3 installed on your system. If you don’t, grab a copy of it from here and install it. Open up Firefox 3 and go the File Menu. Click on the Import button to launch the Import settings wizard.

Step 2 : Select browser to import from
The Import wizard will ask you to select the browser you wish to import the settings from. Microsoft Internet Explorer and Opera are the two supported browsers. Select the one you wish to import the settings from and click Next.

Step 3 : Select options
In the next step, the wizard will ask you to select the settings you wish to import. Tick the options you wish to import. By default all the options are ticked. Click Next to proceed.
Step 4 : Importing…Import Complete
Firefox 3 will now start importing the settings from the selected browser with configured options. It would only take a few moments for the process to get completed. After it has successfully imported the settings, it will display a confirmation windows to confirm the same.

If you wish to import settings from another browser too, then repeat step 1 to 4 again. Happy browsing!
